CAAM certificate

CAD 6011 Part (II) states that no person shall engage in agricultural UAS activities without a valid Aerial Work Certificate issued by CAAM. Applications are made by email as described on CAAM’s UAS page.

Pilots

Under CAC 01/2025, pilots on commercial agricultural operations need RCoC-B with Module 2 (AGR). For private operations, RCoC-B with Module 2 or RCoC-AL.

What a drone may carry

The Department of Agriculture permits pesticides registered with the Pesticides Board that carry a UAS recommendation, fertiliser, plant growth enhancers and seed.

Our practice

  • Wind check before flying.
  • Buffer zones from homes, drains and ponds.
  • Protective clothing when mixing.
  • Containers triple rinsed, as the Department of Agriculture recommends.
